Week 4 Tutoiral Task

Tutorial Task
Choose a social networking site that you either regularly visit or know about and discuss in 200 words how you understand the Terms of Service that all users must agree to to be invited into the site.

Facebook-

When you signed up to the social network site Facebook did you read the companies terms and conditions? I can guarantee that a lot of us didn’t even think of it, myself included. Before many of us had become addicted to the social network phenomenon,  if we had the chance would we second guess joining if we knew exactly what we had signed up for. In one of facebook first line in its terms and conditions the site states "For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook".

Facebook seemingly has us wrapped around there finger when you agree to join the site you become a part of the facebook culture. The terms and conditions consist of 18 very intimate and specific points that many of us will not experience during our life time of usage.  So next time you’re on the giant social network check your rights and just exactly what facebook can do with your content.
